Empezando con XNA
Como ya comentábamos en el post anterior, estamos haciendo, poco a poco en nuestro (escaso) tiempo libre, un par de proyectos para publicarlos en XNA Community Games de la XBox 360. De momento nos estamos centrando en uno de los proyectos, y sobre todo, estamos haciendo pruebas y más pruebas de carga de modelos y cosas similares.
Una cosa importante que hemos decidido ha sido que no necesitamos meternos en el berenjenal de crear un motor para el juego. En cambio, estamos haciendo una base de código que nos ayudará a programar el juego de forma bien estructurada. Basicamente, tendremos una clase contenedora “mundo”, que contendrá diversos tipos de “entidades”. Tenemos entidades especializadas para cada tarea, por ejemplo cámaras, objetos del escenario, naves de los jugadores…
De momento, no nos estamos preocupando de optimizar al máximo el rendimiento, ya que son nuestros primeros pasos con XNA. En vez de eso, queremos tener cuanto antes un prototipo jugable y con todos los detalles gráficos, y ver qué tal se comporta en la 360. La verdad es que creíamos que sería más complicado hacer algo con XNA, y nos está resultando bastante fácil adaptarnos. A ver si en el próximo post ya podemos mostrar alguna imagen WIP.
