Primeras cifras en Community Games
Ya han empezado a aparecer las primeras cifras de ventas de los juegos aparecidos en la sección Community Games (Juegos de la comunidad) del Bazar de XBox 360.
En general hay de todo: gente que comenta que las cifras son mejor de lo esperado, gente que comenta lo contrario… Por lo visto, los juegos más vendidos han superado los $30.000, y muchos otros no han superado los $150, con lo cual todavía es pronto para hacerse una idea de cómo puede ir el negocio.
Y es que Community Games no ha recibido toda la atención que cabría esperar de la iniciativa, ni por la prensa ni por parte de Microsoft. Por otro lado, hay que decir también que la proliferación de “crappy games” (juegos malos) entre los Community Games es preocupante. No porque haya juegos malos, sino porque pueden dañar irremediablemente la imagen de esta sección y que la gente ni siquiera dé una oportunidad a otros juegos interesantes del bazar (que los hay).
Por nuestra parte, ya somos desarrolladores Premium del XNA Creators Club, y tenemos un par de proyectos en marcha para Community Games, todavía en fase muy temprana de desarrollo (los hacemos en nuestro tiempo libre), pero que creemos que pueden estar a la altura de la mayoría de juegos disponibles en esta sección actualmente. Los dos proyectos comparten una misma base. El primero está siendo desarrollado como una primera prueba de acercamiento al sistema de publicación de Community Games, mientras que con el segundo intentaremos ir un paso más allá, conservando la misma idea básica, pero dando una calidad gráfica que esté a la altura de los mejores juegos disponibles en la sección.
En breve iremos contando más cosas de ambos proyectos.
